Coach Ed Grezinsky's team takes a 51-game win streak into the New York State Federation Class AA semifinals against Rush-Henrietta, the state public champion, March 29 in Glens Falls. |

Tournament Most Valuable Player Jenessa Burke scored only eight points and had five rebounds, but she hit the decisive 3-pointer with 48 seconds left giving the Falcons the lead for good. Colorado-bound Alyssa Fressle (13 points) and junior Megan Fulps (14 points) joined their teammate on the all-tournament team. In the semifinals, Fressle posted 16 points and 11 rebounds as the Falcons defeated ThunderRidge (Highlands Ranch) 68-46. Jade Davis scored 11 of her 21 points in the second quarter when HR broke open the contest. Fressle was recently named Gatorade's Colorado Player of the Year. The Falcons have won six 5A titles since 2000 and closed on an 18-game win streak. Season complete. |
