Krystal Parnell had 19 points and 10 assists in the championship-winning effort. In the semifinals, Parnell scored 22 points in a 52-39 victory over Kennedy. Coach Ed Grezinsky's team takes a 51-game win streak into the New York State Federation Class AA semifinals against Rush-Henrietta, the state public champion, March 29 in Glens Falls.
2 (2)	Sacred Heart Cathedral, San Francisco	33-0	Recap: The Irish are the Division III state champions for the third consecutive year. Kamilah Jackson posted a double-double, scoring 17 points and hauling down 17 rebounds, in a 48-33 victory over Magnolia (Anaheim, Calif.) at ARCO Arena in Sacramento. The Irish carry a 56-game win streak into season. Season complete.
3 (3)	Poly, Long Beach, Calif.	31-2	Recap: The Jackrabbits rule the CIF Division I bracket for the third straight season after beating Berkeley 55-31 in the final at ARCO Arena in Sacramento. Jasmine Dixon, the California Gatorade Player of the Year and Rutgers recruit, collected 17 points and 10 rebounds in her prep finale. Dixon and four of her teammates won three state titles during their Poly days. Dixon will play in next week's 2008 McDonald's All-American Game in Milwaukee. Season complete.

The Lady Rams, the Class 4A state champions, received 14 points, 14 rebounds and five steals from Veronica Walker and 13 points from Brittany Crawford to capture a second straight Grand Slam, which serves as the state's tournament of champions. In the semifinals, the Lady Rams edged previously unbeaten Coldwater 42-35. Brizannai Washington (16 points) and Walker (13) combined to score 29 points. Gentry's win streak equaled the Mississippi mark of 80, set by Hollandale Simmons (1991-93). Season complete.

Gentry led 67-64 in the first extra session when LSU-bound LaSondra Barrett drilled a 3-pointer to force a second overtime. Barrett finished with 28 points and 11 rebounds before fouling out with 1:40 left in the second overtime. In the semifinals, Janice Okeke struck for a career-high 21 points and grabbed 10 boards as the Lady Mustangs stopped Southeast Lauderdale (Meridian) 63-56. Season complete.

Colorado-bound Alyssa Fressle (13 points) and junior Megan Fulps (14 points) joined their teammate on the all-tournament team. In the semifinals, Fressle posted 16 points and 11 rebounds as the Falcons defeated ThunderRidge (Highlands Ranch) 68-46. Jade Davis scored 11 of her 21 points in the second quarter when HR broke open the contest. Fressle was recently named Gatorade's Colorado Player of the Year. The Falcons have won six 5A titles since 2000 and closed on an 18-game win streak. Season complete.
